Tele Cafe

Style:
German, Cafe

More:
The revolving cafe/restaurant in the Television Tower

Reviews:
One doesn't come to the Tele Cafe for the food, and quite honestly, if it was on the grounds, and not so high up there, it might not have been worth mentioning (although it is not a bad restaurant, and for a restaurant that attracts almost exclusively tourists, it is not terribly expensive either; to the price, however, you have to add the 8.50 it takes to come up the Television Tower).

Some other reviews: A "Been There" user writes: "The TV Tower (Fernsehturm) was built in the late 1960s and features a spherical revolving restaurant and viewing gallery at the top. The period decor and fittings were still intact when I visited in 2001, and hopefully this is still the case! The food is good too. Ideal for Saturday lunch before a walk around the city."

The Basics:
Panoramastr. 1, 10178 Berlin-Mitte (Alexanderplatz)

Accessible? No. Unfortunately, wheel chair users are banned from the Television Tower altogether, because the lifts cannot be used in case of fire emergency (and you don't want to imagine how many stairs are involved...)

Child-Friendliness?
