Style:
Tex-Mex and Americanised Mexican
More: This restaurant is usually touted as great, but this is a negative review
Reviews:
Our first disappointment was when we first ordered: the big blackboard said that there is "eat as much as you can" Fajitas on Sunday, but the waitress notified us, that this is not relevant that day, because it was a match-day. I wonder - if a special price is not on - perhaps a restaurant should bother to erase it from the board, not advertise it? In any case, we were hours before the match.
When we gotten our food, it was dreadful: overly spiced chicken in the Chicken Caesar's Salad; uneatable Enchiladas with cold ingredients (that were supposed to be hot). We complained about something (wrong type of beverage brought to us) and got no compensation or even apology whatsoever. So much for an "American" restaurant. The only good dish that we have ordered was the Guacamole. It was made fresh in front of us, and tasted wonderful. I wish the rest of the meal was like this great entrée.
And then, when we were done? Waited some 20 minutes (in a not-so-busy restaurant) for the cheque. At the end, we went to the till, so we can't tell how long it would have taken.
The Basics: Marheinekeplatz 3, 10961 Berlin-Kreuzberg (U Gneisenaustr)
URL: Joe Penas (they don't have, mysteriously enough, the Berlin branch there, but this is the official website)

Accessible? no disabled toilets (lots of stairs)
Child-Friendliness? no playground or play corner, but their children menu is another silver lining in an otherwise quite cloudy eating experience: children younger than 7 don't pay for their kiddie-meal; older children have to pay, but the amount is quite ridiculous.

Delores
Style:
Mex Fast Food
More:
Is it Berlin's first and only Burrito bar?
Reviews:
The Laughing Squid writes about the place, and Richard Miller left a comment with a pretty tepid review: "[...] i checked it out the following year. I can’t say that what they served tasted “bad”, it just didn’t taste very much like something from the Mission. A bit like getting soy milk when you expect something from a cow, the meal might have been tastier if not for the name!It was the Rosarita-canned-beans flavour that did it in, though"
